It's a foregone conclusion that ATP world number Novak Djokovic has already won his third straight Australian Open title and fourth overall to start 2013 on a very high note.

He did so last week and with the help of his new weapon, the new HEAD YouTek™ Graphene™ Speed Pro racquet. Djokovic debuted the racquet at the beginning of the Australian Open and he used it in beating the likes of Stanislas Wawrinka, Tomas Berdych, and ultimately Britain's Andy Murray.

But Djokovic first presented his new Speed racquet at Melbourne’s Sandown race track, when he entered an ultimate contest of speed against an Audi R8 race car. His new weapon of choice promises to provide Djokovic with even more Ultimate Speed – as shown in HEAD’s new digital and TV spot that was launched January 11, 2013 on

Watch the video below:

While I personally would have to see it in person to believe it, I choose to suspend disbelief for a while since it is an advertisement and the idea is to sell speed using this particular racquet technology. And besides, it's Djokovic, the same guy who played tennis while on the wings of a plane, pretended to be fellow Head ambassador Maria Sharapova, and holder of 6 grandslam titles.

So with that said, here's another HEAD commercial to be enjoyed:

The clip shows footage of an intense, secret training session, in which Djokovic tested a prototype of his new Speed racquet on a tennis court guarded by security people and fully draped with black cloth. Only a few days after the release of the film, over 10,000 tennis fans from around the world had signed up on to be among the first 50 players to receive and test this new secret weapon.

But with the revelation of the new Graphene racquet line, HEAD explains that the ball speed Djokovic creates with his new stick causes some very surprising and extraordinary things to happen - until finally one of Djokovic’s serves destroys the fence of the tennis court.

“When I first had the chance to test my new Graphene™ Speed racquet it exceeded my expectations”, said  Djokovic prior to the first Grand Slam of the season in Australia. “It will give my game even more speed and control.”

HEAD’s global Test&Win promotion is now offering all players, who test the new Graphene™ racquets and leave their review on or, the chance to win a training session with Maria Sharapova & Novak Djokovic.

Furthermore, local ‘Graphene™ Days’ will take place in many countries around the globe this spring to give tennis fans the chance to test the racquets, provide feedback and win.

Below is a quick video I took during the launch at the Makati Sports Club officials and bosses of Chris Sports unveiled the Graphene line to local tennis enthusiasts :

The invite said to come in your tennis gear and I actually brought mine. Unfortunately, I didn't get to test the racquet that night as I had to rush somewhere after. Hopefully, I'll be able to get a crack at this racquet soon and post a review here.
